Together with its Artistic Director François Leleux, who has held the position since 2025, and Emmanuel Pahud, principal flutist of the Berlin Philharmonic, the Kammerakademie Potsdam invites you on a musical journey to Italy, a land of longing and inspiration. The fascination of “Italianità” inspired generations of composers to create lavishly elegant works, which also shape this program, including Mozart’s Flute Concerto No. 2, Rossini’s brilliant paraphrase of “William Tell”, and Mendelssohn Bartholdy’s spirited “Italian” Symphony. In the 2026/27 season, the Kammerakademie Potsdam celebrates its 25th anniversary. Since its foundation, it has made a lasting impact with concert tours around the world as well as numerous award-winning CD recordings. Several “Opus Klassik” awards underscore its success. Conductor and oboist François Leleux was appointed principal oboist of the Paris Opera at the age of just 18 and later made his mark in the same position with the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra. Today, he captivates audiences worldwide with his expressive power and charismatic stage presence.
